Two ways to bring the ocean to your students
We bring the ocean to you
A full marine science session delivered in your classroom, gym or co-op hall. We carry everything in and out: specimens, microscopes, models, and the activity for every student.
- Hands-on specimens and real equipment
- Matched to your grade level and standards
- No setup required from your staff
- 45–90 minutes per group; multiple groups per day
Out on the water
Students get to the real thing: the shoreline, the mangroves, the seagrass and the animals that live there. Field collection, identification, and the kind of muddy, salty morning that makes a scientist.
- Led by a marine biologist and licensed boat captain
- Field collection and species identification
- Group sizes to suit your class
- Locations throughout South and Central Florida
Built on the Jr. Marine Biologist topics
Pick a topic, or let us match one to your unit
Every field trip is built on one of our 24 topics, so the science lines up with what you’re already teaching. Most requested: Sharks & Dangerous Marine Life, Sea Turtles & Coastal Nesting, Mangroves & Estuaries, Coral Reefs, Ocean Zones & Creatures of the Deep, and Fish ID, Rules & Regulations.

Set sail with Tropical Sailing
Marine science under sail
For the full day on the water we partner with Tropical Sailing aboard the catamaran Spirit of Lauderdale: students sail out of Fort Lauderdale, snorkel the reef, and run their field science from the deck with a marine biologist. Shade, restrooms and room for a whole class — the field trip they’ll continue to talk about all year long.
What teachers tell us
“The kids handled real specimens and asked a real scientist their questions. That’s the whole point of a field trip, and this one delivered.”

“No setup, no cleanup, and every student had something in their hands. I’ve already booked next year.”

A day in the field
What a field day actually looks like
Paddleboards, snorkels, a live catch on the boat, a starfish in a small hand, and the moment a nervous kid jumps in anyway. This is the ocean our students get to meet.

Take the ocean home with them
Pair any field trip with the matching Jr. Marine Biologist Adventure Kit at group pricing, so the learning continues at home. Ask us when you book.
